Live Blackjack NZ 2026

Live dealer blackjack is played with real cards dealt by a human dealer filmed in a casino studio — typically Evolution Gaming or Pragmatic Play Live. You see the dealer, table, and cards via live video stream. The game plays by standard blackjack rules: beat the dealer without exceeding 21. Decisions (Hit, Stand, Double, Split) are made via the interface; results are determined by real card draws, not RNG. Available at NZ casinos 24/7.

Infinite Blackjack (Evolution Gaming) allows unlimited simultaneous players at a single table — there is no seat limit. All players are dealt the same two starting cards and must make the same basic decisions until splits diverge. Side bets are individual. Infinite Blackjack uses Six Card Charlie rule (automatic win with 6 cards totalling 21 or less). Minimum bet: NZ$1. This makes live blackjack accessible when other tables are full.

At major NZ casinos: Infinite Blackjack (unlimited seats, NZ$1 min). Speed Blackjack (faster decision timing). Lightning Blackjack (multiplied payouts on some hands, 2× house edge). Classic Blackjack (standard rules, limited seats). Power Blackjack (can double on any number of cards). Salon Privé Blackjack (VIP, high limits). Free Bet Blackjack (doubles and splits are free, but Push 22 rule applies). All available via Evolution Gaming at major NZ operators.

Side bets in live blackjack have high house edges and are optional: Perfect Pairs (house edge 6–8%) — pays if your first two cards are a pair. 21+3 (house edge 3.24%) — your two cards + dealer upcard make a 3-card poker hand. Suited Triple 7s (25:1 payout) — three 7s of the same suit. Six Card Charlie — automatic win with 6 cards under 21. For maximum expected value, ignore all side bets and focus on basic strategy on the main hand. Side bets are entertainment extras, not value plays.

Live blackjack minimum bets at NZ casinos: Infinite Blackjack NZ$1. Standard tables: NZ$5–25. Speed Blackjack: NZ$5. VIP tables: NZ$50–500. Lightning Blackjack: NZ$1–5. The lowest-minimum live blackjack is Infinite Blackjack at NZ$1 — available at Ice Casino, V.Vegas, and Casino Heroes. Standard RNG blackjack starts from NZ$0.20 and has the same rules but with no live dealer.

Yes — basic strategy is legal and recommended at all online live blackjack tables. Keep a strategy chart open beside the game. With perfect basic strategy, the house edge in standard live blackjack is 0.5–0.6%. Infinite Blackjack has a slightly modified house edge due to the Six Card Charlie rule and game-specific rules. Evolution Gaming's live dealers never object to strategy use — you can take as long as the timer allows on each decision.

Yes. All Evolution Gaming live blackjack tables are mobile-optimised for iPhone and Android. The live video stream, card display, and decision buttons all adapt to phone screens. Mobile live blackjack requires a stable connection (4G/5G or Wi-Fi) for smooth streaming. Infinite Blackjack and Speed Blackjack work best on mobile due to the simplified interface. NZ players access live blackjack through the mobile casino browser (no app download needed at most NZ casinos).
